Best Turkish or Arabic style Pizza Lahmajoun | Kravings
Here are the ingredients and steps to make this recipe!
Dough
2 cups whole wheat Flour
1.5 cups all purpose Flour
1 tbsp instant Yeast
2 tsps Sugar
1 tbsp. Olive Oil
1 cup warm Milk
1/4 cup warm water if required
1 tsp Salt
Topping
4 cloves Garlic
2 cups diced Tomato
2 cups diced red Pepper
2 cups diced green Pepper
2 cups diced white Onion
1 tbsp green chillies
1/2 cup fresh parsley
1 lb ground Lamb or Beef
1 tsp Cumin powder
1 tsp Smoked paprika
1 tsp Aleppo pepper
1 tsp Dried mint
1 tsp Chilli flakes and sumac
2 tsps Tomato paste
1 tsp fresh cracked Pepper
2 tsps Salt
1 tbsp Pomegranate Molasses
1 tbsp Olive oil
Add the 2 flours together
Add the yeast and sugar and mix
Add the olive oil and add the milk a little at a time
Knead well and add the warm water if required
Do not add the salt yet
Place in an oiled bowl and keep in a warm place for 1 hour
Knead once it's risen and add the salt and a little extra flour and divide into fourparts
Roll out each part to a large thin circle
Prepare the topping by first processing all the vegetables together
Add the meat and all the spices, salt, pom molasses, olive oil and parsley and process till it's a thick paste
Spoon and spread over the rolled dough and bake in a 350 degree oven for 15-20 mins
