Easy Lemon Garlic Butter Cod Fillets


 Fresh Cod is not only easily accessible but a very versatile fish. This lightly floured cod cooks up in minutes for a quick and delicious under 30 minute meal.


Adding Fresh garlic, butter and ,lemon to anything is superb and with Cod especially gives it a rich delectable taste.

These fillets were seasoned with lemon juice and salt, then laid into a seasoned mix of flour and breadcrumbs before searing in a hot pan of garlic butter and finished off with a heavy basting of lemon juice and a hearty handful of fresh parsley and thyme.

This took all of 18 minutes or so to make from start to finish so if you are in need of a quickie, you got it here!

To start, combine all dry ingredients for the flour mix into a shallow bowl or container.

Next, season the fillets with a little lemon juice and salt then drop them into the flour mixture.

Meanwhile, heat your pan on a medium high adding olive oil and garlic to flavor the pan followed by the butter.

Once the butter has browned place your Cod fillets in the pan and cook until brown on both sides.

Finish with fresh squeezed lemon juice basting the fish to incorporate the lemon and garlic butter together. Taste to see if it is to your liking then remove from heat.
